Let me start this by saying that there have been many highly qualified and reputable scientists and physicians (and other medical professionals) speaking out from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of those attended and spoke during a panel discussion of a recent conference, and were authors or signers of The Great Barrington Declaration . Many of those scientists and physicians have great substacks (too many to cite here!), were organized in groups like PANDA, etc. But they were outnumbered, silenced, blacklisted, persecuted, ignored, misinterpreted, cancelled… if you read the first hyperlink in this paragraph, you’ll get a full sense of that.
But another force for truth came from citizen analysts. My friend Kathryn Huwig (substack here) was/is one of those. She had a regular show on facebook / youtube, but sadly had to move much of her stuff here because of censorship. Her analyses educated the public, who in turn could try to lobby their legislators for better policies. But most impressive were her two statehouse testimonies (here and here) where she shed a big spotlight on the truth of COVID-19 data. But most relevant to my point here - she did all of this with common sense, skills she learned in undergrad, and the desire to just do it.
What if there were more citizen activist / analysts like Kathryn? Could they continue to be ignored?
Enter IPAK-edu, run by the fearless Dr. James Lyons-Weiler (he’s the reason I finally started a substack, by the way!) These courses are affordable, easily accessible, and really amenable to people to all walks of life. One relevant current course is pasted below, but there are amazing courses on how to use spreadsheets that are particularly relevant to my point here, but also great courses on disease biology like a current course on cancer.
Arm yourselves. The fearmongering of the “public health machine” isn’t going away (or as Dr Robert Malone puts it, fear porn).
